ZenFi Networks and Cross River Fiber announced the closing of their merger Monday, creating a locally-owned and operated communications infrastructure company serving the New York and New Jersey metro region. The combined company will operate as ZenFi Networks.  The merger creates a new regional network spanning 700 route miles of fiber optic network, 119 on-net buildings, 47 co-location facilities and nearly 6,000 outdoor wireless locations under contract. In addition, the company owns three special purpose tower sites dedicated to the high frequency trading industry.

“We celebrate a new milestone as we formally merge two of the region’s most highly-regarded communication infrastructure providers into one agile, innovative organization dedicated to delivering solutions to clients more efficiently,” comments Ray LaChance, CEO of ZenFi Networks. “This transaction enhances our network reach, deepens our product portfolio, and delivers a premier regional communications network infrastructure that is the foundation for 5G network deployments and tomorrow’s evolving network technology needs,” he said.
