Session 5 – Don’t Drop That!

This session will focus on the hazards associated with dropped-objects at job sites and how companies can best incorporate safety measures to mitigate these dangerous scenarios. With nearly 10,000 struck by injuries occurring annually in Canada alone, there continues to be a trend towards dropped objects prevention and safe objects-at-heights management. This movement was recently formalized by the development and release of ANSI/ISEA 121-2018, The American National Standard for Dropped Object Prevention Equipment. With this long-overdue safety revolution comes questions and a need for guidance on how to implement a dropped objects component to your safety program.
