365 Data Centers announced the addition of Bob Hicks as Chief Operating Officer, a newly created position at the company. Hicks will be responsible for overseeing all operating and customer service functions related to 365’s data centers, network, and cloud regions. This addition is intended to provide more efficient operating performance.

As COO of Data Based Systems International, a regional colocation provider, Hicks oversaw its customer growth, operations, and facilities expansions for about two decades prior to its sale to Xand. Hicks then held operating and customer-facing senior leadership positions at Xand, TierPoint, and Recovery Point Systems.

“365 Data Centers has achieved significant growth in all respects since 2017 with a continuous focus on customers, services, infrastructure, and employees,” says Bob DeSantis, CEO of 365. “Now that we have fully integrated the acquisition of SunGard’s U.S. colocation and network businesses, it is time for 365 to add this very senior C-Level position. Having worked with Bob for many years at Xand and TierPoint, I am confident that his customer solutions approach will immediately contribute to our customer growth, operating efficiency, and resiliency. This appointment not only rounds out 365’s highly effective senior leadership team which has been responsible for the company’s success to date but also enables me to primarily focus on the future needs of our customers, growth and expansion capital, and strategic initiatives.”
