Twenty-five years ago, a group of rural and regional carriers came together in Chicago to discuss the policy and technology issues that would help them grow their businesses – and deliver wireless phone service to consumers in small town America. Today, that group, which started out as Rural Cellular Association, now counts nearly 100 local, regional, and nationwide carriers, as well as approximately 150 technology and services companies, among its membership. Join us at CCA’s 25th Annual Convention at the Fort Worth Convention Center October 25-27 to celebrate 25 years of advocacy, growth, and innovation!
The keynote program will address broadband access in rural America, along with other important topics including the customer experience and 5G infrastructure. Attendees will hear from carrier executives and technology leaders about the challenges and opportunities ahead. Featured speakers include executives from leading companies in mobile, such as: ATN International, C Spire, Ericsson, Huawei, Nex-Tech Wireless, Nokia, Sprint, and T-Mobile, among many others.
The conference program will feature speakers representing the carrier, technology, and regulatory sectors. Sessions will explore the most pressing issues affecting competitive carriers, including the road to 5G, customer retention, mobile marketing, and policy priorities such as: infrastructure deployment; access to spectrum; access to devices and the Universal Service Fund/Mobility Fund II. Speakers throughout the week will examine policies, business challenges, and opportunities facing competitive carriers as the mobile industry landscape evolves. Attendees will gain actionable intelligence and insight into smart strategies for maximizing opportunity as carriers embrace and plan for 5G and IoT services.
The show floor at CCA’s Annual Convention will bring together technology vendors, infrastructure and backhaul providers, handset, small cells, WiFi, device and app developers, and other industries focused on reaching the North American competitive carrier market, which spend over $15 billion annually on products and services related to the wireless industry. Back by popular demand, the exhibit floor will feature a Start-Up Showcase. Participants will demonstrate new products and services and have the opportunity to meet with mobile carriers and connect with senior executives. They also will compete in a start-up showcase session attended by competitive carrier executives and attendees.
Also on the show floor, this year’s CCA Annual Convention will feature conversations with industry thought leaders in our “Mobile Minute” Studio – Live on the Show Floor sponsored by Ericsson. As we celebrate 25 years, we’ll sit down with industry luminaries every half hour for a five-minute chat on the industry and their view on where mobile is going. Attendees will hear from some of the brightest minds in our industry interviewed by a range of guest hosts.
CCA’s Annual Convention kicks off on Tuesday, October 24 with a special Anniversary Celebration at the famous Fort Worth Stockyards.
