The Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA) hired Christina Mason as Vice President of Government Relations.  In this capacity, Christina will lead the advocacy efforts of the association before Capitol Hill, and work to give voice to WISPA’s 800 members regarding the policy challenges of delivering fixed wireless internet services to nearly four million, mainly rural Americans.

Mason brings over a decade of experience in strategic communications, policy, and government relations and outreach, according to the announcement.  Before arriving at WISPA, she lobbied for The American Institute of Architects, where she directed the AIA’s executive and legislative advocacy agenda and represented the association in a variety of coalitions and related initiatives. Prior to the AIA, Christina was in the office of Congresswoman Yvette Clarke (D-NY), where she worked on appropriations, small business, and tax policy.

“We’re competing to get our story out, listened to and understood in an aggressive lobbying space on Capitol Hill,” stated WISPA President, Claude Aiken. “Simply put, Christina’s experience will allow WISPA to cut through the noise and bring benefit to our 800 members and the fixed wireless industry.”
