The Coshocton County Commissioners and Coshocton County Emergency Management Agency in Ohio are hoping to take down a radio tower in New Castle by May 27. The 100-foot tower with 8-foot fence and 10-by-10-foot building is no longer needed because the county switched to the Multi-Agency Radio Communications System. EMA Director Rob McMasters is trying to get a cost estimate for the work before proceeding with the project, but if taken down, the tower and building would be moved to county property where the building would likely be sold and the tower kept for possible future use. The old radio equipment from the tower and towers in Baskerville, Conesville, and on County Road 55 will be as sold as well.
