Connecticut-based Amphenol (NYSE: APH) announced a definitive agreement yesterday on acquiring the connectivity and cable unit of CommScope (NASDAQ: COMM). The deal is valued at $10.5 billion in cash, including debt, according to the Wall Street Journal

The transaction marks Amphenol’s second acquisition from CommScope in just over a year. In 2024, Amphenol purchased CommScope’s outdoor wireless network and distributed antenna systems businesses for $2.1 billion in cash.

In May, Bloomberg reported that North Carolina-based CommScope was exploring a sale of its broadband connectivity and cable solutions division, its largest business segment by revenue and operating income. The unit provides critical infrastructure for mobile and wireless networks, including antenna systems for indoor venues, campuses, and enterprises.

Subject to the receipt of customary regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of other closing conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
