The Structure,Tower & Antenna Council (STAC), Canada’s primary association focused on the wireless infrastructure industry, announced the rollout of training courses following the release of the STAC Climber Training Guidelines earlier this year. Nine fall protection training providers in STAC’s membership will offer courses that align with the guidelines requirements.
The following is the complete list of STAC member training providers who have said they can offer courses that meet the requirements of the Climber 1, Rescue 1, Climber 2, and Rescue 2 chapters of the STAC Climber Training Guidelines:
- 3M Fall Protection Group
- Dynamic Rescue Systems
- GRAVI-T ZERO (courses offered in English and French)
- MI Safety
- Nouvelle Hauteur/New Heights (courses offered in English and French)
- TEAM-1 Academy
- Technical Rope and Rescue
- Tower Safety & Instruction
Additionally, online training provider eSystem Training Solutions can offer courses that cover off the regulations and policies, as well as other components of the STAC Climber Training Guidelines, potentially helping to reduce overall costs of the in-person training components. STAC is encouraging its members to have their employees trained in accordance with the STAC Climber Training Guidelines and will be working in the years ahead to have those training requirements adopted as a de facto industry standard.
