CCA’s 2022 Mobile Carriers Show Heads to Tampa, Florida April 11-13

Appalachian Wireless, Cellcom, Ericsson, Interop Technologies, Mavenir, Nokia, Syniverse, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular to Headline Keynote Program

“Be where the carriers are,” adeptly describes the dynamic networking opportunities and array of technology innovations that will be at CCA’s 2022 Mobile Carriers Show (“MCS 2022”) in Tampa, April 11-13 at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street. Keynotes and awards will be live streamed and safety measures are in place.

On Tuesday, April 12 the exhibit hall opens with some of the most innovative companies in the wireless industry providing the perfect networking platform to connect. The keynote program kicks off with “5G deployments, where are we now?” with panelists discussing the status of 5G, spectrum availability, broadband mapping, and more. Speakers include Allen Gillum, CEO & GM, Appalachian Wireless; Brighid Riordan, CEO, Nsight (Cellcom); Steve Sharkey, VP of Government Affairs, Technology and Engineering Policy, T-Mobile; and Grant Spellmeyer, VP, Government Affairs, U.S. Cellular.

Part one of a two-part discussion on, “Assembling the Ideal Broadband Toolbox for Rural America,” will take place from 1:00pm – 1:45pm and feature Ed Alfonso, EVP & GM, mobile networks, Nokia Americas; Eric Boudriau, SVP & GM of Customer Unit Regional Carriers, Ericsson; Chip Damato, EVP, Inland Cellular; and Loris Zaia, VP Major Accounts, Mavenir. Panelists will discuss network equipment solutions and partnerships available for smaller carriers to bring needed mobile services to rural America.

Part II: “Software & Services” will take place the following morning, Wednesday, April 13 from 9:30am – 10:15am. Speakers include Rick Brooks, CTO & VP of Engineering, Cellcom; Kathiravan Kandasamy, Senior Product Management Director, Syniverse; and Steve Zitnik, EVP & CTO, Interop Technologies. Panelists will discuss the available services and software that competitive carriers can deploy to meet consumer demand and come one step closer to closing the digital divide.

The MCS 2022 educational program will feature executives from Cellular One of NE Arizona, ClearSky Technologies, Ericsson, Interop Technologies, Intrado, NetNumber, Ribbon, Nokia, Shentel, Syniverse, U.S. Cellular, among others, who will explore business strategies, policy initiatives, current and future funding opportunities for IoT readiness, 5G deployments and monetization, cloud native technologies, customer loyalty strategies, private wireless networks, cybersecurity, spectrum, and broadband data collection.

On Monday, April 11 CCA will host a Health & Wellness Day sponsored by Nokia – Renew, Reconnect, Recharge, and Rev-Up – an afternoon of reconnecting and rejuvenation, before the conference begins. The event will offer massages, and several stress-relieving stretching sessions with our partner Kelly Berry Yoga. This event is open to all registered attendees. Day one concludes with an evening Welcome Reception, sponsored by Syniverse, at Anchor & Brine at the Marriott Water Street for all attendees.
