Yesterday the South Wireless Summit announced 35 exhibitors and a record 800-plus attendees participated in this year’s event, held in Nashville, TN.
Speakers included Jay Brown, CEO of Crown Castle, delivering the Keynote, Todd Schlekeway, Executive Director of NATE, introducing the newest NATE video and Kimberly Curley, Director of WIA Workforce Development. A tower panel delivered the status of the 2019 business environment and a look to the future toward 2020, and the event concluded with a WWLF-sponsored panel, focusing on women in wireless.
Highlights included a memorial video to honor the five SWS members that passed away, a clay shoot, a bowling tournament and a concert featuring country music, of course, presented by ECA, to celebrate their 30th anniversary in business.
“Thank you to all of our great sponsors and exhibitors and to the 38 committee members of the South Wireless Summit and the committee chairpersons that made the Summit a success,” said Steve Nicley of the Kentucky Wireless Association.
Nicley said the event takes over six months to produce and benefits the ten state wireless families of the South Wireless Association. Next year’s South Wireless Summit will be held on March 16-18, in Nashville, TN. The Fall 2019 South Wireless Association Scholarship applications will be coming out in early May for review and submission.
