The Pennsylvania Wireless Association (PWA) announced that Barbara Burba has been elected President of the association, replacing Phil Burtner who will remain on the Board of Directors. Burba is Director of Government Operations at InSite Wireless Group, LLC. In addition, PWA announced that Chris Schubert has been elected Treasurer replacing Michael Damiano who served in that role for over a decade. Sarb Bassi and Chip Vignolini will serve as Vice Presidents of the association and Lisa Rider has been named Secretary.
“I want to thank Phil Burtner for his service to PWA and look forward to working with him and others on the Board in 2021,” Burba said. “We are planning a variety of events in 2021, starting with our East Shoot, tentatively scheduled for April 21. Of course, all events will be assessed by our ability to hold them in a safe and healthy environment.”
Burba said the PWA is proud to report that they still met their obligations to their charities in 2020 with donations to the following: Penn State Children’s Hospital ($10,000), Leukemia and Lymphoma Society ($10,000), Homes For Our Troops ($10,000), Hubble Foundation ($10,000), Toys For Tots ($3,430) and $1,000 each to various food banks in the Commonwealth.
She said a priority this year is building membership and urges anyone in the Atlantic mid-state area to join PWA by using this link.
