The OnGo Alliance made an announcement on Tuesday to both celebrate its achievements and introduce itself to a wider population. The organization released a statement this week recognizing its growing membership, now at 190 companies, and ecosystem goals. It also released “CBRS & OnGo For Dummies” to explain and showcase its shared spectrum capabilities.
“As wireless devices are increasingly being used among businesses to enhance customer experiences and increase efficiencies, enhanced connectivity is required to support these demanding business-critical applications,” stated Alan Ewing, Executive Director of the OnGo Alliance. “OnGo For Dummies is a helpful resource for enterprises and other organizations to gather information about OnGo-enabled technologies and the valuable use cases and applications they present within their respective industries.”
The OnGo Alliance declares its Purpose as “support(ing) the common interests of members, implementers and operators for the development, commercialization, and adoption of LTE solutions for the US 3.5 GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service.” The association and member companies are committed to exploring the value of shared spectrum opportunities.
The Alliance noted that 221 different client devices, to date, had been approved by the FCC. Member companies have used OnGo technology in a variety of mobile broadband, fixed wireless access, and enterprise private network applications.
