Transit Wireless said that Eli Kay will join the company as chief financial officer and Michael Hoyt as senior vice president of Product Development, Engineering and Operations. Both employees will be members of the senior leadership team and will report directly to Melinda White, chief executive officer of Transit Wireless.
Eli Kay comes to Transit Wireless with more than 20 years of corporate finance, risk management, audit and tax experience.
Most recently, Kay was CFO for JFK International Terminal, where he led the multibillion-dollar expansion and business negotiation with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Delta Airlines.
Prior experience includes serving as CFO of Chicago Skyway as well as the San Mateo County Transit District. Kay began his career in public accounting and has held positions of increased responsibility across both public and private companies in manufacturing, high-tech and infrastructure. A Certified Public Accountant, he will lead accounting, finance, procurement and IT for Transit Wireless, and be responsible for its overall financial strategy.
Michael Hoyt has over 20 years of telecommunications and engineering experience, serving in senior executive positions at Level 3 Communications and Windstream. Prior to joining Transit Wireless, he served as an infrastructure consultant to several service providers across the United States and Europe. Hoyt will be responsible for network operations, engineering and product, project management and design, including operations across Transit Wireless’ New York City subway network.
