The elephant in the room will, of course be 5G at MWC19 Los Angeles, which began Monday and runs through Thursday, October 24. But, with early deployments finally on the roll in the U.S. and across the globe, the focus is set to shift from discussions about standards to new use cases bringing the technology to life, according to Diana Goovaerts, Mobile World Live’s U.S. Editor.
With Los Angeles being the mecca of the entertainment industry business, the venue provides a space where content and connectivity collide as media giants like Viacom, and Warner Brothers can mingle with companies like Orange, Intel, Nokia, Sprint and Verizon, explains Goovaerts.
Content delivery systems will also take center stage at the event introducing the latest ideas not only in cell phone technology and satellite systems but in IoT and wearables.
