The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) and WiFi Alliance® yesterday announced their partnership as part of WIA’s 2021 Connectivity Expo – Connect (X) – in Boston, August 3-6.
“We are honored to have the WiFi Alliance as a partner for this year’s Connect (X),” said WIA EVP Tim House. “The pandemic has further underscored the importance of fast, reliable connectivity. WiFi plays a crucial role in providing the digital infrastructure that keeps our country online.”
Leadership from WiFi Alliance will deliver a keynote address on the latest generation of WiFi –WiFi 6 – and WiFi 6E expansion into 6 GHz.
“With strengthening global WiFi 6E momentum, broader support for WPA3 security, and accelerating WiFi 6 adoption across more enterprise and vertical markets expected in 2021, WiFi will deliver advanced connectivity and robust security when and where users need it most,” said WiFi Alliance SVP Marketing Kevin Robinson. “We remain committed to our vision of connecting everyone and everything, everywhere. Our alignment on this principle of universal connectivity makes our partnership with WIA a natural fit.”
