Connect(X): TerraCast Takes on Consistent Design

The team at TerraCast Products was pleased with the reception they received from this year’s attendees at Connect(X) last week at the Denver Convention Center.

The timely introduction of the Denver Transition Collar sparked discussions about local projects with some of the state-based companies. But, the big hit was the Decorative Fluted Sleeve, which converts smooth straight poles into decoratively designed, fluted poles, according to Brad Goldring, CEO at TerraCast Products.

“The sleeves can be introduced with new pole installations or the patented, open clam design, which allows sleeves to be easily added to previously erected poles.  Measuring and modifying the sleeve by cutting holes to accommodate protrusions can be done on site, making it very simple to dress up plain, straight poles,” he explained.  Those with an engineering background enjoyed the fact that the sleeves didn’t affect the pole’s wind load, as it only protects the pole from UV Rays, and eliminates the need to paint the poles.

By adding a TerraCast Decorative Base, companies are able to sell a complete package to municipalities and historical districts, solving the biggest problem carriers face with new and existing small cell towers – consistent design, says Goldring. “Many of the attendees shared with us that municipalities struggle with inconsistent design at eye level when new small cell sites are added to the landscape. TerraCast shines in this situation and can help ease worries about matching bases and pole design.”
