There are over 5.9 million commercial buildings and large venues in the U.S., according to the EIA Commercial Buildings Energy Consumption Survey. Roughly 80 percent of all mobile voice and data calls originate or terminate inside buildings. With so many buildings and structures of varying shapes and sizes, there is a massive challenge for mobile network operators and building owners alike to ensure that wireless signals can be transmitted and received inside these buildings.

But getting wireless signals inside buildings can be tricky and the costs are high. Ryan Hanson, President, and Eric Hudson, Vice President of Engineering, at Ontivity’s Mountain Wireless Construction business unit discuss with John Celentano, Inside Towers Business Editor about what’s involved in designing and installing big in-building wireless systems. Hear this and much more on the podcast, available on our website, Amazon Music, Spotify and iTunes.
