At the upcoming Mobile World Congress event in Las Vegas, September 26-28, EnerSys® will be displaying a variety of power and energy solutions for macro and small cell applications. The Cellect 5000 outdoor power system is a compact, hardened power supply that mounts on a pole or wall adjacent to AC- or DC-powered 5G small cells. Another small cell solution is the Alpha® BSC Gateway, a finalist in the Small Cell Forum product of the year awards. The Alpha® BSC outdoor gateway enables cable operators or small cell providers to use existing cable broadband coax infrastructure to deliver power and backhaul.
For macro cells, EnerSys® will be featuring its Cordex® Hyperboost DCDC converter which enables operators to efficiently power antennas mounted at the top of the tower. This unit will be integrated in an EnerSys® macro cell cabinet. EnerSys® will also display its PowerSafe® iON 48 battery, a compact Lithium-ion solution for providing backup power at the macro cell.
Additionally, EnerSys® will be unveiling two new products at MWC Vegas – a new 5G small cell powering solution that helps accelerate 5G deployment, and an energy storage technique that adds intelligence to traditional lead-acid batteries.
