A man has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison, after pleading guilty to damaging multiple cellular towers in Miami County, OH, according to the Dayton Daily News. Christopher Andrew Daniels, 36, was charged with 15 counts including two felony counts of aggravated trespass, disrupting public services, vandalism and one count of misdemeanor possession of criminal tools for damage to a Verizon tower and an AT&T tower, the publication said.

Daniels caused the damage to “stop the aliens from coming” which are “getting us through our power source,” he told a Troy, OH, police officer after being caught. Nonetheless, he was evaluated and found competent to stand trial. Along with the prison time Daniels will pay restitution of $9,130. Police said the use of drugs may have been involved in the incidents, the Dayton Daily News reported.
