HTC No Longer Responsible for Tower Power

HTC is no longer responsible for making sure generators to tower sites are maintained during storms in Conway, South Carolina. AT&T is now in charge of making sure network connections to these sites and many others remain active during inclement weather. WBTW-TV reported that AT&T says they have over 50 generators that are deployed. HTC Senior Marketing Coordinator Nicole Hyman recommends people keep a landline, but those are becoming scarce. “Don’t make a phone call unless it’s an emergency,” Hyman said. “We want to make sure that emergency personnel have access to those lines first.” (WBTW-TV)
