Athonet, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) company, is working with an IT infrastructure services provider, Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), to develop private LTE, private 5G and WiFi 6 services for enterprises. Wireline and Wireless networks will be integrated into the existing IT network, using the Kyndryl Bridge, which is an open-integration technology services platform.

“This technology combination will offer enterprise customers across sectors security-rich, expanded connectivity, business agility and enhanced overall experience,” said Paul Savill, Global Network and Edge Computing Practice Leader at Kyndryl.

Kyndryl and HPE have a history of jointly supporting customers worldwide across various industries, including healthcare, fashion, beauty, financial services, telecommunications providers, and transportation.

The flexibility of Athonet’s open architecture is important for enterprises that need customized private 5G/WiFi 6 solutions, according to David Stark, VP & GM, Telco Solutions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

“A single wireless network for digital and mission-critical communications across the entire operations is needed that is integrated into the existing IT infrastructure,” he added. “As a result, enterprises will be able to automate IT infrastructure using artificial intelligence.”
