The evolution of Launch 3, a global provider of wireless products and solutions, has been shaped by various factors, including changes in market technology, strategic expansion, diversification of product offerings, talent investment, and a customer-centric approach.
Launch 3 began as a small startup founded by David Zoldan, a visionary and entrepreneur to his core, according to the company. Zoldan’s willingness to continually innovate and adapt were some of the driving forces behind the company’s initial growth.
One of Zoldan’s greatest strengths is finding areas of opportunity in the marketplace and capitalizing on them, Brittany Houser, Vice President at Launch 3, told Inside Towers.
“We have pivoted and adjusted in a way that has grown the company exponentially,” Houser said. “I think that’s something that sets us apart from our competition; stagnation is not a part of our business model or company culture. We strive to make strategic decisions that foster healthy, yet aggressive growth.”
Launch 3 says its commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends and technology advancements allows it to meet evolving customer demands and remain competitive.
Launch 3 was founded in 2004 in Fairfield, NJ. In its early years, the company focused on distributing central office and landline technology. However, with 3G spurring global demand for wireless technology, the company adjusted to cater to the rapidly growing wireless industry.
Today, Launch 3 is a nation-wide distributor for some of the telecom industry’s leading manufacturers including JMA Wireless, Burndy, Southwire, Kaelus, VIAVI, Anritsu, Dura-Line, and many more. Its product line includes cable accessories, grounding material, electrical material, testing equipment, fiber, coax and much more.
After becoming a wireless distributor, Zoldan saw that his customers had a need for third-party logistics (3PL). So, Launch 3 began renting out space in its warehouse, and providing site kitting and inventory services.
“We have an entire 3PL division in both our NJ and FL locations catering to carriers and contractors,” Houser said. “Third-party logistics is a value-added service for our customers. We offer site kitting, inventory management, asset scanning, delivery, trucking, and other customized logistics solutions.”
Testing equipment is another avenue that Launch 3 has continued to grow and expand in. They are a top distributor for VIAVI, which provides testing and monitoring products.
“That’s just another business vertical which we have added. We are now a comprehensive testing equipment distributor, repair, and calibration facility,” Houser explained.
Conclusion
Today, Launch 3 has grown from three to 60+ employees with two locations in Fairfield, NJ and one location in Lakeland, FL that cover both distribution and logistics. In the future, plans are to add locations, expand product offerings and add to its national presence in the wireless industry.
Zoldan has the spirit of a serial entrepreneur. With a customer-centric approach and an eye for innovation, he will continue to put Launch 3 into launch mode whenever it finds a need. The company’s evolution is “a testament to the persistence, resilience, and vision,” that the Launch 3 team embodies.
