McGrath noted that the company is gearing up for 5G and the next major wave of deployment for wireless and wireline infrastructure. “Over the last few years – with the advent of small cells it’s one big network of fiber and wireless,” he said. “We’re excited about the opportunities 5G will afford, and we’re positioned to deliver. We have enough staff, who are properly trained, to provide turnkey professional services on the wireless and fiber optics side.”
Advantage Engineers is cross-training drafters, engineers, real estate personnel and construction managers to work on fiber optics and small cell projects as well as the more traditional macro sites. “This training approach has given us the flexibility to shift resources around as needed,” said McGrath. “We’re developing quick response teams for opportunities with existing clients in new markets, and we are ready to move to locations where we’re needed physically. We can ‘put boots on the ground’ right away.”
