Minnesota Couple Sues Cell Tower Providers Over Health Woes

Claiming that a nearby cell tower has made her sick, Duluth, MN resident Marcia Haller and her husband Jason are suing AT&T (NYSE: T), T-Mobile (NYSE: TMO), and American Tower (NYSE: AMT).

As BNN Breaking reports, the Hallers believe that upgrades to a nearby cell tower have imperiled her health. The lawsuit anchors the Hallers’ complaint under the Americans with Disabilities Act and seeks to compel the telecoms to relocate the offending cell tower further away from their home. The plaintiffs claim that Mrs. Haller’s symptoms only improve when she is at a greater distance from the structure.

The Hallers say that Marcia’s health issues began in 2019, following what they believe was a 5G upgrade to the local tower. The cell tower in question is located 900-feet away from their residence and stands 300-feet tall. Though the World Health Organization continues to assert that cell towers pose no risk, the Hallers allege that RF radiation exposure has contributed to Marcia suffering multiple strokes, as well as compromised balance and cognitive abilities and other ailments. By filing a lawsuit, the plaintiffs have said they want to open a larger discussion about the impact of 5G on humans.

BNN Breaking has noted that a recent study of RF radiation on aegypti aka “yellow fever” mosquitoes does indicate that some frequencies and conditions can have an impact on mosquito development. Humans and mosquitoes frequently inhabit similar environments, but whether or not these results can be extrapolated to suggest an impact on humans is merely speculative at this point.

In the meantime, the Hallers say that they are doing what they can to shield themselves from possible dangers, including erecting a Faraday cage around their bed to protect themselves while they sleep.
