NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association and member companies Crown Castle and FordCom Wireless LLC hosted Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) at a communications tower in the 5th Congressional District of Ohio.
Congressman Latta toured a communications tower site with event participants from Crown Castle and FordCom to learn how infrastructure companies, contractors, and technicians build, maintain, and deploy communications sites and related wireless/broadband infrastructure that bring connectivity to residents and businesses. Latta also heard from representatives of Crown Castle about the shared communications infrastructure they deploy, which gives businesses and residents access to essential data, technology, and wireless service.
NATE said the September 2 event provided an invaluable forum for the lawmaker to discuss his legislative priorities, given that he serves as the Ranking Member of the House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. The subcommittee has extensive authority over many of the issues impacting the industry.
Becky Hussey and Brian Indovina from Crown Castle, and Brian Ford and Brent Ford from FordCom Wireless were the primary on-site contacts at the event.
“Crown Castle is honored that Congressman Latta visited our tower to discuss how towers are an essential component of the infrastructure in Ohio, helping to connect 79 percent of the state’s residents for their daily needs – working, learning, healthcare, and public safety,” said Crown Castle VP Construction Services Owen Deneny.
