NATE’s Ernie Jones Memorial Civil Engineering Scholarship Winner

NATE announced this week that Emily Wiebe, a junior Civil Engineering major from Mequon, WI, has been named as the 2023 recipient of the Ernie Jones Memorial Civil Engineering Scholarship at the University of Evansville in Evansville, IN. The official announcement was made at the NATE Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, February 22, during the annual NATE UNITE 2023 Conference in Orlando.

Wiebe has worked in the construction field and with safety protocols associated with field work as an intern with raSmith. Additionally, she is a student athlete who participates on the University of Evansville’s soccer team. Emily plans to attend graduate school after finishing her undergraduate degree.

The Ernie Jones Memorial Civil Engineering Scholarship awards a $2,500 NATE-funded scholarship annually to a junior or senior level civil engineering student at the University of Evansville’s College of Engineering and Computer Science. Ernie Jones was a structural engineer who worked in the broadcast tower industry for 30 years.
