The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) announced yesterday that Marc Daasch, EHS Director for Ericsson North America, has been appointed as a member of the organization’s Board of Governors.
In his new role as a member of the Board of Governors, Daasch will join representatives from a broad cross-section of the industry who are tasked with developing policy and overseeing the activities of the various committees that will serve under NWSA’s authority.
NWSA, headquartered in Fairfax, VA, is a national non-profit assessment and certification organization established to provide thorough, independent assessments of knowledge and skills and provide verifiable, ANSI accredited trade certifications to enhance safety, reduce workplace risk, improve quality, encourage training, and recognize the skilled professionals who work on towers and other non-standard communication structures.
“NWSA is excited to welcome Marc to our talented, dedicated group of leaders who serve on the organization’s Board of Governors, said Executive Director Duane MacEntee. “Marc’s EHS role with Ericsson will allow him to lend valuable insight and guidance to NWSA as we continue to scale the number of credentialed workers in the industry,” added MacEntee.
Daasch is an EHS Director for Ericsson North America who began his career with Westower Telecommunications in the early 2000s, and has spent the past 20 years working in high-risk industries including electrical, crane operations and civil engineering. He currently holds a CHST Certification through the board of certified safety professionals and is considered a subject matter expert in fall protection, rigging and incident case management.
