Height safety equipment provider, Guardian, unveiled a new product in its line of vertical climbing gear at this week’s A+A International Trade Fair and Congress in Germany: the Cable Climbing System and C7 Cable Climbing Sleeve.
Featuring an integral mounting clamp, and one-handed sleeve operation, the system and sleeve are designed to make climbing easier for tower workers. The C7 Cable Climbing Sleeve was also specifically designed to mitigate nuisance lock-up on descent, allowing the user to smoothly and easily climb down after a long day at height.
The new Guardian Cable Climbing System and C7 Cable Climbing Sleeve will be available (3/8”/10mm cable) in the U.S. and other regions adapting ANSI standards in December 2023 and available (8mm / 5/16” cable) in Europe with EN certification in the Summer of 2024.
“We’re excited to introduce our latest innovative solution to this global audience. This product line is a result of studying and understanding user needs and pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence,” stated Guardian Chief Marketing Officer Brendan Walsh. “We paired up with the people that climb for a living to identify the most important performance requirements, and the designers brought them to reality.”
