Nokia announced it has landed two major contracts, partnering with aerospace and defense giant Leonardo and Nordic telecom leader Elisa to advance private wireless and 5G technology across critical sectors.
Leonardo, a global industrial group with 60,000 employees across Italy, the UK, Poland, and the U.S., will integrate its mission-critical broadband platform, MC_linX, into Nokia’s Core Enterprise Solutions. The collaboration aims to deliver a global, pre-integrated system for emergency communications, enhancing response times, operational safety, and reliability in mission-critical scenarios.
The MC_linX platform supports push-to-talk, video, and data services over LTE and 5G networks and complies with 3GPP standards. It will be used to strengthen communications for public safety, defense, and essential infrastructure operations.
In a separate deal, Nokia also expanded its partnership with Elisa, Finland’s leading mobile operator, to enhance industrial connectivity with advanced private 5G capabilities—further showcasing the growing enterprise demand for resilient, next-gen wireless technologies.
