Mark Zamalloa, President of Pacific Technical Solutions (PTS), founded the company in 2001 in Seattle, building on his extensive background as a test equipment manufacturer’s representative. Zamalloa says his experience launching Anritsu’s Site Master globally and his six years in the Navy working with advanced missile system electronics laid the foundation for PTS’s commitment to precision and reliability.
After relocating to Dallas in 2012, PTS evolved from a solutions provider into a strategic supplier, primarily serving tier-one carriers. Through a key acquisition, the company expanded into manufacturing, with 98% of its revenue now derived from products designed and assembled in Dallas.
“We transitioned from assembling RF components to manufacturing critical network infrastructure equipment,” Zamalloa explains. “Whether supporting macro networks or small cell deployments, our focus is on delivering the products crucial to the network densifications.”
Veteran-Owned & Assembled in the United States
As a veteran-owned business, Zamalloa says PTS takes great pride in its commitment to quality, precision, and supporting the local economy by assembling products in the United States.
“This strong foundation ensures PTS delivers dependable, high-quality solutions to meet the evolving demands of the wireless industry,” he said.
Four Core Categories
PTS specializes in four core product categories: power distribution, battery cabinets, equipment rack solutions, and brackets.
- Power Distribution: Engineered to manage AC power at the cell site with versatile, scalable solutions.
- Battery Cabinets: Customizable designs that accommodate evolving network needs.
- Equipment Racks: Seismically tested, pre-assembled solutions available in multiple sizes to house critical communications infrastructure.
- Bracketing Systems: Universal small cell radio pole mount brackets, designed to support multiple Ericsson Small Cell Radios for 5G, DAS, CRAN, LAA, and CBRS deployments.
“Our goal is to create solutions that not only meet today’s network requirements but also adapt to tomorrow’s needs,” says Zamalloa.
Customer Collaboration: The PTS Advantage
PTS sets itself apart by working closely with customers to develop solutions that solve real-world deployment challenges. The company collaborates directly with national carrier engineering teams to ensure its products receive the necessary approvals while maintaining field technician usability.
“We don’t just build products—we develop problem-solving solutions,” Zamalloa emphasizes. “From carriers to contractors, we design with the entire network ecosystem in mind.”
This customer-first approach, according to Zamalloa, ensures that PTS products simplify installations, enhance network reliability, and offer competitive pricing and competitive lead times.
Enabling the Next Phase of Wireless Growth
As the wireless industry moves beyond 5G overlays, network densification is the next frontier. PTS remains committed to enabling this transformation by providing the infrastructure needed to support higher capacity, lower latency, and ubiquitous coverage.
“We believe densification needs to increase 3X to 5X over the next three to five years,” Zamalloa states. “The future of wireless depends on more physical locations to achieve high data capacity and seamless connectivity.”
Despite any industry slowdowns, PTS has remained proactive, expanding its sales team and continuing to innovate. With a strategic focus on the next wave of network expansion, the company is poised to support carriers as they enhance coverage and capacity.
