PerfectVision: Manufacturing Smarter, Not Harder

PerfectVision has established itself as a leader in the telecommunications infrastructure industry by offering a unique blend of distribution and manufacturing services. With over 45 years of history, the company has expanded its focus to include diverse sectors, from ISPs to tower contractors, to address a wide range of customer needs. As Regional Sales Director – West Region, Anthony Castillo explained, “We don’t focus on just one area; we support the entire ecosystem of telecom with solutions that are tailored to specific challenges.”

One of the key strengths of PerfectVision lies in its in-house engineering team, which designs its products without relying on third-party engineers. This streamlined process allows the company to respond quickly to market demands while maintaining control over product quality. Scott Stekr, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Logistics at PerfectVision, emphasized the importance of this approach, “All our products are engineered in-house, giving us the agility to rapidly adapt designs and provide timely solutions for our clients.”

Like Legos for Engineers

PerfectVision’s dedication to customization is evident in its flagship products like the Roofcraft modular system, which provides adaptable solutions for rooftop deployments. Described by Stekr as “Legos for engineers,” Roofcraft is designed to handle the unique challenges of rooftop installations, such as navigating obstructions like HVAC units and vent pipes. The system’s modular nature allows it to be reconfigured for different rooftop layouts, while also providing the flexibility to distribute weight evenly across the structure. “It usually only takes two interactions for engineering firms to grasp how versatile Roofcraft is,” Stekr added. “Once they get it, they’re off to the races.”

Castillo highlighted that one of PerfectVision’s core values is its commitment to supporting customers throughout the entire project lifecycle. This customer-centric approach extends to providing detailed technical documentation and hands-on training sessions for engineering firms, according to Castillo.

PerfectVision recently organized a training event where engineers could assemble sector frame mounts, helping them understand the practical challenges of installation. “Seeing the weight and complexity of the mounts first-hand gives engineers a different perspective,” said Stekr. “We focus on designing products that make the contractor’s job easier, reducing assembly time and improving overall efficiency.”

Innovation is a driving force behind PerfectVision’s product development, according to Stekr and Castillo. Every year, the company introduces new solutions at industry events like NATE, with products that reflect customer feedback and industry trends. “From the beginning, we’ve aimed to innovate and offer something different,” Castillo said. “Our goal is to stand out by providing unique features and benefits that set us apart from the competition.”

This year, PerfectVision launched its Wallcraft product to fill the need for a modular, customizable mounting solution for walls. Similar to Roofcraft, Wallcraft uses modular parts that allow virtually any number of mounting configurations to be created for site specific needs.

A Case In Point

Several years ago, a major telecommunications carrier began retrofitting the mounts on its towers to upgrade their capacity and strength to carry more equipment. But it proved to be too complicated for each manufacturer to design their own mounts. PerfectVision created the VZWSmart product line, which is a standardized set of steel components that an engineer can simply pull from a catalog to meet the capacity requirements for the additional equipment.

A Forward-Thinking Portfolio

One of the standout products in PerfectVision’s portfolio is the Guardian series sector frame, which was developed in response to industry demands for stronger, more efficient mounting solutions. The Guardian series emphasizes load path optimization, ensuring that the force generated by antennas is properly transferred through the mount and into the tower structure. “We wanted to create a product that protects the tower owner’s asset by addressing mounting issues that were often overlooked in the past,” Stekr explained.

PerfectVision’s ability to innovate quickly is bolstered by its flexible organizational structure. As a privately held company, it avoids the bureaucratic delays often seen in larger, publicly traded competitors, explained Castille. “When we have an idea for a new product, we don’t have to go through layers of approval,” Stekr agreed. “We can move from concept to prototype in a matter of weeks, allowing us to stay ahead of the competition.”

Commitment to the Community

The company’s dedication to innovation is also reflected in its commitment to community involvement. PerfectVision hosts an annual golf tournament in Little Rock, Arkansas, which raises significant funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Arkansas. “Our event has become a major part of their operating budget,” Stekr noted. “It’s important for us to give back to the community and support causes that align with our values.”

Looking ahead, PerfectVision plans to continue its growth by focusing on customer-driven innovation and maintaining strong relationships within the telecom industry. “We’re here to help,” Castille said. “From listening to our customers’ challenges to designing solutions that meet those needs, we aim to be a trusted partner in their success.”
