With a goal of supplying innovative site solutions, increasing site productivity, and engineering with customer feedback, PerfectVision has redesigned their SFR Guardian sector frame products. The company focused on maximizing strength, reducing the quantity of mechanical connections, minimizing Effective Projected Area (EPA), and maintaining competitive pricing.
The new Guardian SFR series is a more structurally efficient frame than the original SFA series. “We took our unique approach and industry knowledge gained over the past few years, and applied it to our new sector frame products,” says Scott Stekr, PerfectVision’s VP of US Engineering. With only thirty (30) bolts per sector frame, this includes stiff arms, antenna masts and more, the SFR sector frame product line creates efficiencies in multiple sections of site productivity.
Meeting a list of standards including TIA-5053, PerfectVision offers SFR applications for single sector, three (3) sector, as well as monopole applications. Simply changing the tower-specific mounting brackets during the ordering process decreases time and increases site organization and management. These solutions offer mounting brackets for several applications including round legs, 60˚ angle, 90˚ angle, large legs and truce/lattice legs.
A detailed step-by-step installation guide ensures installers take steps to correctly install the first time, saving time and money, according to PerfectVision. Designed to only have six attachment points to the tower, PerfectVision has engineered the SFR’s tie backs to attach back to the adjacent sector leg bracket. This decreases tower attachment points by 50%, creating a faster and cleaner installation.
Each sector has the ability to swing a full 60˚ left or right. Coverage of 360˚ is easily accomplished using the provided alignment guides. The built-in alignment guides allow for crews to establish an accurate azimuth on the ground before flying and mounting the sector frame. This design element is a built-in tool for measuring and dialing in azimuth from the ground. Once on the structure, the SFR offers simple azimuth adjustment with its pass-through v-back design.
The engineers at PerfectVision continue to create a product line of innovative solutions, from the dual cross crossover, which cuts down on build time, to the built-in location on the frame to mount galvanized ground bars and attach the temporary anchor points ACC3.
“This product is highly configurable,” stated Stekr. “Choosing the correct mount to match site conditions is simple using the TIA-5053 classifications. This ensures the customer receives the correct mount with the correct capacity at the correct price point,” he continued. With the ability to add vertical pipe for optional equipment mounting and safety climb routing solutions, PerfectVision has engineered this solution with all aspects of the job site in mind.
