Prometheus Hyperscale, based in Evanston, WY, has selected Lumen Technologies (NYSE: LUMN) to connect its energy-efficient data centers to meet growing AI data demands. Prometheus will use Lumen’s Private Connectivity Fabric solution to expand Prometheus’ network capacity across its growing data center footprint in the western U.S. states. The fiber deployment includes new network routes to be built with Lumen next generation wavelength services along with Dedicated Internet Access services and Distributed Denial of Service protection.

Prometheus says this expanded network will enable high-density computing in its data centers to deliver scalable and efficient solutions while maintaining its commitment to renewable energy and carbon neutrality. Lumen points out that its networking technology will provide the low-latency, high-performance infrastructure critical to meet the demands of AI workloads, from training to inference, across Prometheus’ flagship facility in Wyoming and four future data centers in the western U.S.

Prometheus says its data center campus in Evanston, WY will be one of the biggest data centers in the world with facilities expected to come online in late 2026. Future data centers include sites in Pueblo, CO, Fort Morgan, CO, Phoenix, AZ, and Tucson, AZ. The company says these data centers will be strategically designed to take advantage of innovative clean energy resources.

“AI is reshaping industries, but it must be done responsibly,” comments Trevor Neilson, Prometheus Hyperscale president. “By joining forces with Lumen, we’re able to offer our customers best-in-class connectivity to AI workloads while staying true to our mission of building the most sustainable data centers on the planet.”
