Ranchettes Residents Oppose Approved Tower

Residents of the Ranchettes community in Laramie County are speaking out against a newly approved 5G cell tower project, voicing concerns about its safety, health implications, and overall necessity. The Laramie County Commissioners approved the tower in June, but many locals remain firmly opposed, according to KCWY-TV.

“We don’t want the cell tower — put it somewhere less obtrusive,” said Ken Roylance, a Ranchettes resident. Residents worry about the tower’s location, fearing potential property damage if it were to fall. They are also raising alarms about possible health risks, particularly for children, from 5G signals, and question whether improved coverage is even needed in the area.

Although the commissioners have made it clear there will be “no re-hearing” on the matter, residents remain determined to keep fighting. “We are going to stay united, we’re going to keep building support,” said resident Tammy Mays. “We’ve all contacted the county commissioners, we’ve filed an appeal with the county clerk, but we’ve heard nothing so far.”
