South Wireless Summit Kicks Off 13th Annual Event in Nashville

The South Wireless Summit kicked off its “soft launch” opening yesterday in Nashville, TN at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel with a sponsorship reception, exhibitor move in and a bowling tournament. The event hosted by southern state wireless associations provides a platform for industry members to discuss key issues and focus on a joint mission in support of the development of wireless networks on a state and regional level. A plethora of sessions and speakers get underway today and run through Wednesday.

Keynote speakers today will be Todd Schlekeway NATE President & CEO and Yannis Macheras, CEO Harmoni Towers.  

Sessions for Tuesday include:

  • The Tower Panel featuring Daniel Agresta, President & CEO, APC Towers  and Johnny Crawford, Executive Vice President of Development, Vertical Bridge 
  • NextG Evolution – A Tale of Mules, Sherpas, and Glass with Todd Zeiler, VP Wireless Engineering at AT&T
  • Regulatory Panel features Ben Salter, Vice President of Environmental and Ecological Services at ECA and Emily Kosmalski, Principal at Terracon Consultants, Inc. 
  • EWP – Emerging Wireless Professionals led by Lara Straussfeld, President of WIA EWP, in a discussion about The Emerging Wireless Professionals (EWP) which is a membership section of WIA, focusing on professionals who have been in broadband for fewer than 10 years.
  • WWLF Panel – Embracing transitions in telecommunications with Kristen Beyer, Chief Revenue Officer, First Tyr Solutions and Ashli Fuselier, Sales Project Manager, Tillman Digital Cities 
  • AI-powered solutions for wireless construction and deployment with Sean Shahini, CEO INSORA and Bernard Borghei, CEO at Symphony Towers Infrastructure  and Bill Davison, COO  of Harmoni Towers 
  • Travel Safety – How to be an advocate for women travelers. Learn about travel safety from Jeanette Evans, Pacific Coast Towers and Heather Gastelum, Founder of Cowgirl Capable
