Square1 Infrastructure announced a partnership with Staghorn Infrastructure to collaboratively acquire, build and develop thousands of communication towers and cellular leases throughout the United States. Staghorn is a newly formed company, chaired by telecom industry stalwart Sanjiv Ahuja, through Tillman Global Holdings. The venture intends to deploy several hundred million dollars annually, aggressively originating and acquiring/building/managing cellular site leases and towers, with immediate capital available for asset development. Dan Ryan, Founder and CEO of Square1 said, “It is very exciting to partner with one of the real legends in telecom. Sanjiv’s record as CEO of Orange S.A. and the exponential growth of their subscriber base during his tenure, together with his success in developing two of the world’s largest tower portfolios (in Africa, via Eaton Towers; and more recently in Myanmar, via Apollo Towers) makes Staghorn a marquis partner and investor in the wireless space.” Chairman and Founder of Staghorn Infrastructure Sanjiv Ahuja said, “We are excited to partner with Dan and his team at Square1, with their proven depth of knowledge and experience in the U.S. Tower Market. Together, we will transact hundreds of deals each year, and are scouring the marketplace for tower leases and assets.”
