FCC Commissioner Carr recently announced changes to his staff. Ben Arden, who has been on detail to the Carr office for over four years and has been serving as Chief of Staff, is returning to the FCC’s Media Bureau. Greg Watson, who has been Carr’s Policy Advisor since January 2021, has been promoted to Chief of Staff.

“Over the last four years, Ben has been an invaluable advisor and good friend. He has worked on some of the most important issues that have come across the eight and now tenth floors,” stated Carr. “I am grateful that what began as a short, four-month detail ultimately extended into a much longer tenure. I will miss having his wise counsel on so many issues, but I am thankful that Ben’s public service will continue in a different capacity within the building.”

Concerning Greg Watson, Carr stated: “Greg has been a key advisor in my office on wireless and national security matters since coming on board almost three years ago. Greg’s experience working on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch has proven to be a tremendous asset. I look forward to continuing to rely on Greg’s strategic and policy advice as he takes on this new position.”
