Tower Fatality in Louisiana Identified: Dalton Ray Teater

A tower technician who fell to his death on February 17 in Louisiana has been identified as Dalton Ray Teater. Working for RB Telecom Services, LLC , the 27-year-old reportedly fell from a 220-foot height while working on a 349-foot guyed tower in Cotton Valley, LA. FCC records indicate the tower is owned by Verizon. The Webster Parrish Sheriff’s office confirmed to Inside Towers that they were the first on the scene of the accident but deferred all inquiries to the coroner’s office. An OSHA investigation is underway by the agency’s Baton Rouge office.

Teater is survived by his wife, Kayle Nichole and their two young children. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family to help handle funeral expenses. Services were held on Saturday at Bethel Community Church in Houston, TX.
