Vantage Data Centers, a DigitalBridge Group portfolio company based in Denver and a global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, announced the delivery of three new facilities in Berlin and Frankfurt. In addition, the company will open a new German office in Raunheim. Vantage is expanding rapidly in key markets like Germany to meet escalating demand for data center capacity across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Berlin I and II Campuses

Vantage has opened a second data center on its 25-acre Berlin I campus. The two-story, 130,000 square foot facility offers 16 megawatts of IT capacity to hyperscalers and large cloud providers. Once fully developed, the expanding campus will include four data centers totaling 56 MW and 474,000 square feet.

Located 12 miles from its Berlin I campus, Vantage opened the first data center on its Berlin II campus in Mittenwalde. Also a two-story, 16 MW facility, this data center is part of a growing 12-acre campus that will include two facilities totaling 32 MW and 260,000 square feet upon completion. These two campuses combined will offer 88 MW of capacity in this high demand market.

Frankfurt II Campus

Expanding its existing presence in Europe’s largest data center market, Vantage has completed the first data center on its Frankfurt II campus. The four-story facility is sited on seven acres in Raunheim. The state-of-the-art, 350,000 square foot data center accounts for 40 MW of the campus’ projected 56 MW of total IT capacity. Vantage is continuing to develop its first 55 MW Frankfurt I campus, located in Offenbach, roughly 18 miles from Raunheim. Once fully operational, both campuses will offer customers a total of 111 MW of IT capacity in the Frankfurt region.

“Vantage has experienced rapid growth over the past three years as we continue to construct world-class data center campuses across EMEA,” said Antoine Boniface, president, EMEA at Vantage Data Centers. “Since we first entered the market in 2020, we have been investing in the highly developed country of Germany, the financial powerhouse of the European Union and the most desired data center market anywhere in Europe due to its growing use of cloud computing, high-speed internet penetration and data sovereignty laws. We have taken critical steps to not only drive growth and development to meet the needs of our customers, but to build partnerships within local communities and create meaningful job opportunities for the local citizens.”

To support Vantage’s expanding operations throughout EMEA, the company will open a new business office in Raunheim, located next to its Frankfurt II campus and the international airport. The office can accommodate up to 30 employees and will open in late November.
