Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP (WBK) announced yesterday Adam Jorde is joining the firm as a Senior Government Affairs Advisor in the Washington D.C. office. He joins the firm after serving as the Head of Government Affairs at Twilio, a customer engagement platform.
Jorde has over a decade of government relations expertise in the tech and telecom industry. In his role at Twilio, he developed and executed their government affairs strategy and served as a key player in shaping policy on a range of issues, including trusted communications, privacy, content moderation, AI, and FCC matters.
Prior to his role at Twilio, Adam worked for NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association as Director of Government Affairs. While there, he focused on broadband deployment and FCC Universal Service issues, working closely with lawmakers to craft telecom provisions in bills such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the 2018 Farm Bill, and the Broadband DATA Act.
Additionally, Jorde has worked as a communications director, policy advisor, and a number of other roles for Congressman (now Senator) Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and Senator John Thune (R-SD). During his tenure, he led on policy matters related to the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
