America Movil released their second quarter earnings results last week, and Amir Rozwadowski of Barclays noted that the company’s management hinted they planned to invest an incremental $6 billion over the next three years in Mexico. This follow’s AT&T’s plan to invest $3 billion in regional investment, as well. “In our view this should not only bode well for those that supply and support regional investment (of our coverage universe, we expect American Tower and CommScope to be the most exposed) but also for the broader LTE / smartphone penetration opportunity (one of the primary reasons we believe AT&T is looking to tap into the market),” Rozwadowski wrote.
