American Tower Adds to Portfolio

American Tower has been busy making acquisitions across the country. The company recently announced that they have acquired 201 towers, 41 Backup Power Systems, and 5 DAS in the United States. American Tower has been very busy acquiring and constructing new communications sites and obtaining new property rights. At the Wells Fargo Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference last week, American Tower’s VP of Investor Relations, Leah Stems, noted that they continue to expect 9.5% cash organic growth in the U.S., the GTP sites grew 150-200bps faster than the legacy AMT sites, and they were able to achieve synergies in 2014 that they expected in year 5.
