American Tower Terminates DISH
American Tower (NYSE: AMT) last week, in an 8K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, provided an update regarding its relationship with DISH Wireless LLC., a subsidiary of DISH Network Corporation, part of EchoStar (NASDAQ: SATS). The company said that it had delivered a notice of termination, effective June 2, 2026, to DISH of American Tower’s Strategic Collocation Agreement (SCA) entered into in March 2021 and related agreements with DISH.
American Tower clarified that beginning on January 1, 2026, 100 percent of DISH revenue has been reflected in churn, not in site leasing revenue, and this termination is not expected to impact the company’s financial results for the year ending December 31, 2026. American Tower reiterated that it continues to pursue litigation against DISH with respect to its financial and operational obligations under the SCA.
