Working hard to update equipment on towers and install new ones throughout North Carolina paid off for AT&T because Seattle-based company, RootMetrics, ranked AT&T as #1 for combined voice, data, and text network performance in Raleigh.

“AT&T was ranked highest in our November 2013 tests of overall network performance in the Raleigharea. Our overall RootScore Award looks at call, data and text performance across all data network technologies, including 4G LTE. We look at performance from a consumer’s point of view, and AT&T offered a very strong overall performance for those in Raleigh during our tests,” said Bill Moore, president and CEO of RootMetrics. AT&T launched 4G LTE in Raleigh in January 2012. It plans to expand its 4G LTE network to cover 300 million people nationwide by year-end 2014.
