Last Thursday, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, along with members of Congress, toured tower sites and industry events in Northeast Ohio. These visits follow stops Carr made in Central Ohio the day before that focused on American Drone Dominance and public safety communications. Carr was joined by members of the Ohio Congressional delegation.

“It’s great to be back in Ohio today, visiting with some of America’s hardworking tower workers, broadband builders, and local broadcasters,” Carr said. “With President Trump’s leadership and the FCC’s Build America Agenda, we are putting policies in place that will continue to accelerate Internet infrastructure builds and empower broadcasters to serve their communities. Across Ohio, Internet speeds are up and competition is stronger than ever. The FCC will keep working until the job is done.”

Carr thanked Senator Bernie Moreno as well as Representatives Bob Latta, Dave Joyce, and Michael Rulli for hosting him in the Buckeye State. On his first stop, Carr joined Congressman Dave Joyce at a broadband build. Next, he traveled to Youngstown for the 2026 Tough Tower Competition. There, Carr presented awards to some of the nation’s top tower technicians alongside Congressman Michael Rulli. In the afternoon, the Chairman toured a local TV station to visit with broadcasters alongside Senator Bernie Moreno. Finally, he joined Congressman Bob Latta at a broadband construction site.
