Auction 107 Closes in on $20B in Bids

Through 27 rounds, the FCC’s C-band auction has drawn more than $19 billion in gross bids among 57 qualified bidders. The agency’s official number after round 27 was $19,686,102,960.

Auction 107 is moving to shorter rounds. The auction continued with four, one-hour rounds on Thursday, however starting today, there will be five, half-hour bidding rounds, according to the agency. In the past, the Commission has shortened and increased the number of rounds to speed bidders.

The auction is offering new flexible-use overlay licenses for spectrum in the 3.7-3.98 GHz band (3.7 GHz Service) throughout the U.S
