Rich Berliner, the former CEO of BCI, (Berliner Communications, Inc.), a publicly traded wireless corporation, founded his new company, Fifth Gen Media in 2016. In March of 2017, Fifth Gen Media launched the quarterly print and online magazine “Connected Real Estate”. The publication is focused on wireless technology problem-solution scenarios for the enterprise real estate market.

Yesterday, as a complement to the publication, Fifth Gen Media announced the creation of “Fifth Gen Advisory Services,” a consultancy that provides a number of strategic and tactical marketing, sales and business services to telecom vendors servicing the real estate community.

The In-Building Wireless Communications (IBW) industry is currently going through a number of significant changes that will accelerate IBW deployments as never before. These changes will allow the industry to more efficiently address the in-building cellular amplification needs of perhaps hundreds of thousands of commercial buildings, an accomplishment not previously practical.

“This higher volume market will produce many more competitors, simple word of mouth networking will not be as effective as it once was,” Berliner said. “Our advisory service will help wireless vendors create and execute impactful outreach programs that communicate their value and differentiation in terms real estate professionals will understand and appreciate.”

Fifth Gen Advisory Services will be led by Bob Butchko, a veteran high technology executive. Butchko has many years of experience designing, installing and marketing in-building wireless communication systems for commercial cellular coverage and public safety. Bob is an author, lecturer and a recognized IBW expert.
