A tower tech in Florida is in the hospital after passing out while installing a cable on a 200-foot lattice tower early Sunday morning. The Fort Myers Fire Department answered the rescue call after the man had been dangling in his harness at 100-feet for an unknown length of time, according to the Associated Press. Fort Myers Deputy Fire Chief Tracy McMillion said the man fainted first, then suffered head injuries as he tried to climb down the structure. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital having suffered a “significant head injury,” according to a fire department spokesman. Neither the tower tech’s name nor the name of his company has been released.
