Kevin Coyne Named New CEO at Summit Broadband

Summit Broadband, a Central and Southwestern Florida telecom services provider, announced the appointment of Kevin Coyne as Chief Executive Officer. Summit is a portfolio company of investment firm, Grain Management LLC. Grain Management specializes in the telecommunications sector. 

“We are pleased to welcome Kevin to the Summit Broadband family,” said Michael McKenzie, Managing Director at Grain Management, LLC. “His industry expertise and strategic leadership will be invaluable to Summit as it embarks on its next phase of growth.”  

Prior to his appointment at Summit, Coyne served as Chief Operating Officer of FiberLight, LLC, where he was also a founding member. Under Coyne, FiberLight grew from a $1 million enterprise, to a company generating $200 million in revenue. Summit now links 430 cities with 1.8 million fiber miles. 

“Summit is at a pivotal juncture in its history, having recently partnered with the Grain team,” Coyne said. “It is exciting to have the opportunity to lead this company and its talented team to the next level as we continue to expand our network into new communities and fine-tune the services and product portfolio we provide to our enterprise and residential customers.”
