Microlab, a Wireless Telecom Group company (NYSE American: WTT), and Ranplan Wireless announced Microlab as a preferred OEM partner under the Ranplan Wireless’ Precision Design Initiative. Microlab brings a broad portfolio of high-performance passive and active components to the Ranplan software suite allowing system integrators and engineers the ability to easily specify Microlab products into their designs for small cells, in-building commercial wireless, and public safety DAS.

“Precision is paramount when designing wireless connectivity solutions.

Obtaining an accurate representation of coverage, interference and throughput prior to deploying a modern network requires an ecosystem consisting of component manufacturers working in tandem with engineers and an advanced Heterogenous RF Planning solution to define accurate holistic views of the system, determining most appropriate options. Ranplan is pleased to have Microlab as a Preferred OEM partner and great addition to the Precision Design Initiative,” said Jason Suplita, VP Ranplan America.

“As dense 4G communication networks evolve to ultra-dense 5G networks, designers will need accurate models that represent the complexities of layered in-building and outdoor networks,” said Luke Getto, Director of Product Management at Microlab. “Inclusion of Microlab products in the Ranplan software suite will allow system designers to be confident that the real-world performance will match the simulations for coverage and capacity for both commercial wireless and public safety systems.”

Microlab and Ranplan Wireless will host a webinar on August 8 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. This session will present how to design systems using Microlab components inside Ranplan software to produce high quality and dependable simulations for real-world deployments.
